It wasn’t a good day to be a Jets fan on Sunday as the New York version saw their two biggest rivals play in the Super Bowl and Montreal beat Winnipeg 3-0.
Carey Price stopped all 23 shots that he faced for his third shutout of the year, but first since back-to-back 4-0 victories over the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers back in November. Max Pacioretty, Alexei Emelin shorthanded and Tomas Plekanec all scored for the Canadiens who bounced back from their own shutout 24 hours earlier to the Washington Capitals.

The Boston Bruins scored twice in the first period, Milan Lucic and Brad Marchand each scoring their 19th of the year, and Tyler Seguin knocked in his 20th as the defending Stanley Cup Champions eased to a 4-1 victory over the Capitals at the Verizon Center in Washington DC. Boston remains the closest challenger to the Rangers at the top of the Eastern Conference standings and are now seven points ahead of the Ottawa Senators in the Northeast division.
The Bruins are 601.00 to win the Stanley Cup outright, with the Vancouver Canucks 601.00 and the Capitals 601.00.
