The New England Patriots will be aiming to avenge their 2008 defeat to the New York Giants when they meet in Sunday’s Super bowl.
Tom Brady was hurt by the 2008 defeat. An immense fourth quarter comeback secured the coveted trophy for the Giants against the then heavy favourites New England and star quarterback Tom Brady admitted that defeat still weighs heavily on his mind.
"All the games you lose, there are plays that you want back," said Brady.
"Certainly, every time you lose, you think there is more that you could have done to help the team win. But when you win, you don't think about any of those things. You think about what you do well."

Also in the line-up that day for the Patriots was defensive end Mark Anderson, and he echoed Brady’s comments on the 2008 defeat.
"That hurt, man. That hurt bad," said Anderson.
"We should have won that game right there. I don't even like to think about it anymore. It was pretty bad, getting all that way and still we weren't able to win. It was tough."
In Sunday’s clash while some of the personnel for both sides will be the same as four years ago, Brady was adamant that there are a lot of differences in both tactics and style which will make this game entirely different.
"It's a different scheme, it's a different defence. Some of the players and the match-ups are the same, but I can see those from when we played in week nine (this season). There's not a lot of things that you can take from that game (in 2008)."
The Giants have come out of nowhere to secure their final berth having secured five successive wins after a record which six weeks ago stood at 7-7.
Commenting on this feat, defensive end Osi Umenyiora admitted it was a dream to be in the Super Bowl, and was hoping that the magic of 2008 would once again rub off on the Giants.

This is truly unbelievable.

"Hopefully, we will have the same result," said Umenyiora.
"We still have one more game to go, but this is truly unbelievable."
Brady is rated as 2.25 to be the Superbowl MVP, with Umenyiora 101.00.
