No. 14 Georgetown was too strong for Connecticut as they cruised to a 58-44 victory.
Now 7-3 in the Big East and 17-4 overall the Hoyas were led by Hollis Thompson who was 7-of-15 from the floor for 18 points and also pulled down 9 rebounds.
The defeat was UConn's fourth in a row following reversals against Cincinnati, Tennessee and Notre Dame and the Huskies face a fight to be invited to the NCAA Tournament with their current losing record within the conference.
