LeBron James had 30 points to lead the Miami Heat to their second straight victory with a 95-89 win over the visiting Toronto Raptors.
The superstar was 10-of-17 from the field and 10-of-12 from the line to lead all scorers and Dwyane Wade dropped in 25 in support for the Heat who moved two games ahead of the idle Atlanta Hawks in the standings.
DeMar Rozan led the Raptors with 25 points as Toronto was once again without Andrea Bargnani who missed his sixth straight game and the front court player remains out indefinitely with a recurrence of his left calf injury.
The Heat are 1.30 to win the Eastern Conference, with the Raptors 5001.00 after this defeat.
There was at least one good piece of news for New England fans on Super Bowl Sunday as the Boston Celtics cruised by the Memphis Grizzlies 98-80 at the TD Garden in Boston. Kevin Garnett had 24 points and Paul Pierce chipped in with a further 21 as the Celtics picked up their four successive win to pull within three and a half games of the Philadelphia 76ers in the Atlantic division.
