Clippers edge out Jazz

The Los Angeles Clippers moved a game and a half ahead of the Lakers with a 107-105 win over the Jazz in Utah.
Chris Paul was 15-of-24 for a game-high 34 points and Blake Griffin added 31 points and 14 rebounds as the surging Clippers picked up their fourth straight and seventh in the last 10.
The Jazz fell four and a half games behind the Oklahoma City Thunder in the highly competitive Northwest division with the loss.
Oklahoma City were in Dallas to play the defending NBA champion Mavericks and took their record to a league best 17-4 with the 95-86 win. Russell Westbrook led all scorers with 33 points on the evening.
The Thunder are 2.25 to win the Western Conference, with the Mavericks 5001.00 and the Jazz 5001.00.
The San Antonio Spurs moved to 11-1 at home on the year with a 99-91 success over the visiting Houston Rockets.
Tim Duncan's 25 and Tony Parker's 24 on a combined 17-of-28 shooting offset a game-high 29 from the Rockets Kevin Martin.
There were also wins for Portland and Phoenix on Wednesday night. The Trailblazers sent the Charlotte Bobcats to their 10th consecutive defeat with a 112-68 rout at the Rose Garden, while the Suns used a strong fourth quarter to see off the Hornets in New Orleans.
