Tigers take Game Three

Doug Fister (1-0) went 7 1-3 strong innings as the Detroit Tigers roared back to take the third game in the ALCS.
Jhonny Peralta went deep for the Tigers.The 27-year-old right hander struck out three and allowed two runs on seven hits without a free pass in Detroit's 5-2 victory over the Texas Rangers at Comerica Park. Victor Martinez, Jhonny Peralta and Miguel Cabrera all went deep as part of an 11-hit Tigers attack that also featured a 3-for-5 evening from center fielder Austin Jackson. Jose Valverde gave up a Josh Hamilton double in the ninth, but secured the triumph with his 52nd save of the year.
Colby Lewis (0-1) took the loss for the Rangers conceding four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six over 5 2-3 innings. Yorvit Torrealba was 3-for-3 for Texas in his first action behind the plate in the series as Mike Napoli moved to the designated hitter role. Michael Young took over for Mitch Moreland at first, but was 0-for-4.
The Tigers are 5.25 to win the series while the Rangers are 1.18.
