Marcos Baghdatis into third round

Top seed Marcos Baghdatis is through to the third round of the Pilot Pen Tennis in New Haven, beating Igor Andreev in straight sets.
The Cypriot had to overcome a half-hour rain delay, as he followed-up last week's victory over Rafael Nadal on his way to the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Masters, prevailing 6-2 6-4 over the Russian.
Marcos Baghdatis (1.25 - to win match) now faces Juan-Ignacio Chela (3.75) in the third round, and the match can be viewed online via bet365 Live Streaming.
Chela is into the third round after beating local wild card Donald Young in three sets 5-7 6-4 6-0, and other home favourite Taylor Dent lost 5-7 6-4 6-4 to Tommy Robredo.
Two high profile names are already out of the tournament as second seed Tomaz Bellucci and third seed Fernando Gonzalez were defeated.
Brazilian Bellucci lost 6-4 6-7 (4-7) 6-0 to Lukas Lacko while lucky loser Radek Stepanek accounted for Gonzalez with a 6-2 6-4 success.
Kazakhstan's Andrey Golubev beat Maximo Gonzalez 6-3 2-6 6-2 with Romania's Victor Hanescu seeing off Daniel Brands 6-3 6-4.
Other seeds to advance were Thiemo De Bakker, Florian Mayer and Denis Istomin, who claimed wins over Mikhail Kukushkin, Jan Hajek and Benjamin Becker respectively.
Qualifier Teymuraz Gabashvili progressed after Xavier Malisse retired while trailing 4-2 and Evgeny Korolev was a 6-4 7-5 winner against Michael Berrer.
Ilya Marchenko was the other man to advance, beating Philip Bester 6-3 6-3.
The highlights of today's third round men's draw include Andrey Golubev (1.61) v Teimuraz Gabashvilli (2.20), Thiemo De Bakker (2.10) v Florian Mayer (1.66) and Victor Hanescu (2.25) v Radek Stepanek (1.57).
