Australia's Jelena Dokic has been comprehensively beaten by France's Marion Bartoli at Homebush in the second round of the Sydney International.
In the post-match interview, Dokic confessed that playing in front of such a parochial crowd had significantly affected her mind set and composure.

I froze out there. It was not about her being the better player. I just really, really got nervous.

A disappointed Dokic said, "I froze out there. It was not about her being the better player. I just really, really got nervous. My legs and my arms and everything just couldn't move.
"It's always unfortunate to lose a match that way when you're like not playing your best or when you're not able to compete at 100 percent or when you get nervous and tight."
She added: "My serve let me down as much as she served well, I didn't serve well, so that made really the difference. But it's okay. You know, she's played 60 or 70 matches last year, and I played five in the last five months, so that's also a huge difference."
Dokic's start to the match was extremely poor as she didn't manage to claim even a single game in the opening set.
After some extreme struggles on her serve, she finally managed to break her duck in the second set and it started to seem that she may have woken up. But it was a false dawn as Dokic's poor serve once again cropped up to hand her opponent a comfortable 6-0, 6-3 win.
Samantha Stosur is 17.00 to win the 2012 Australian Open, while Serena William is 5.00 and Petra Kvitova 3.50.
