Mark Selby has his sights set on further success this season after winning the Paul Hunter Classic in Germany.
The Jester from Leicester, Mark Selby, took the honours in Germany.Selby defeated fellow Englishman Mark Davis 4-0 in the final of the fourth Players Tour Championship tournament of the season in Furth, before casting an eye toward the rest of the campaign.
He told the Leicester Mercury: "I played well all week and, although I didn't always score fantastically, I didn't give my opponents many chances.
"This puts me back on track, but I just have to maintain it now. I've just been practising harder and harder.
"But it's going to be a long season and I don't want to burn myself out. Last year I played more than 100 matches and felt it towards the back end of the season."
Selby, world ranked number three, is desperate to try and win the World Championship for the first time in his career, having been favourite going into the tournament earlier this year.
A 13-4 demolition of Stephen Hendry in the second round looked like being the catalyst for a title charge, but Selby then lost out to China's Ding Junhui in the quarter-finals.
Selby, who also lost 18-13 to John Higgins in the 2007 final, is 1213.00 to be crowned world champion in 2012, with Higgins 1213.00 to retain his title and Ronnie O'Sullivan 1.25.
