Bath's director of rugby Sir Ian McGeechan was delighted to see his side take a major step towards the semi-finals of the LV= Cup by thrashing Northampton Saints.
Sir Ian McGeechan was pleased with another Bath cup success.Bath romped to a 46-14 success, scoring 46 points for the third consecutive match in the competition, to leave them well on the way to the last four.
"However they work the LV, we must be close to that semi-final," McGeechan said after another impressive performance.
"We've said all along, it's not that we're not playing pretty decent rugby, it's just that we've not finished off and not been so good execution-wise.
"We weren't 100 per cent today, but the big thing was the attitude right through the team and that counts for a lot.
"We still want to make a big impact in the Aviva Premiership. We know we've got to work hard there, but there are still a lot of things to play for."
Bath are currently down in tenth place in the Premiership, but are 12 points clear of rock-bottom Newcastle Falcons.
Saracens are 6.00 to be crowned Aviva Premiership champions this season, with Harlequins 3.00 and Leicester Tigers 1.36.
