New Bradford Bulls signing Manase Manuokafoa hopes to make his competitive debut for the club a week on Sunday when the Bulls face Wigan.
Manuokafoa suffered ligament damage during pre-season training and has been ruled out ever since.
The former Parramatta, North Queensland and South Sydney man has joined Bradford on a one-year contract, and is eager for an opportunity to impress his new employees.

"I'm hoping I'll be back in time for the Wigan game in a couple of weeks' time. I feel quite lucky that I've been able to come back so soon as when I first did the injury I heard a bit of a pop and I though it'd be my season over," said Manuokafoa, who usually plays at prop or in the second row.
"I want to make my debut fairly quickly as it isn't a nice feeling signing for a new club but then not being able to play. You want to help your new friends out on the pitch but instead you're kicking back on the sidelines."

The Bulls crashed to a 34-12 defeat at home to Catalans Dragons on Sunday and the players know that improvement is necessary if they are to make any impact in the race for the play-offs.
"We obviously have a lot to work on after yesterday but I don't think it's time to panic just yet. We've got a few players to come back into the side and there's a lot of the season still to play so I don't think we should worry too much," Manuokafoa added.
The Bulls' next league appointment is a trip to face Castleford, who beat Salford in their opening fixture.
Bradford are 1.10 to finish at the foot of the Super League table this season while Salford can be backed at 51.00, Wakefield at 15.00 and Widnes at 1.44.
