Brett Delaney has his sights set on more titles with Leeds Rhinos.Leeds Rhinos second rower Brett Delaney says he's relishing the opportunity to achieve future success, having pledged his future to the club with whom he has already won a Super League title.
Delaney has signed a new three-year contract at Headingley and admits that he could see himself finishing his career in West Yorkshire.
"I am really happy with how things have gone for me since I came to Leeds. I am really settled here now so when I spoke to the chairman Gary Hetherington about a new contract it was a pretty easy decision for me," said Delaney, who made the transition from centre to second row in 2011.
"By the end of this contract, I will have been here six years and I did not think that would happen when I first signed but I love being at the club and want to be part of it going forward for a few more years at least."
The Rhinos got the defence of their Super League crown off to a perfect start on Friday, coming from behind to beat Hull KR.
They face Wigan this Saturday in a repeat of the 2011 Challenge Cup Final, and Delaney hopes that the opening month of the season can provide a springboard for further success.
Leeds are priced at 2.37 to get the better of Wigan at the DW Stadium on Saturday. The Warriors, who were beaten by Huddersfield in their opener are 1.57 to win the tie and the draw can be backed at 19.00.
He added: "I will be 30 at the end of this deal and if I enjoy the next four years as much as I have enjoyed the last two, it will be a special part of my life. I've won trophies and played in some great matches and I hope there are a few more ahead."
