Sauber owner Peter Sauber is hopeful his drivers will be able to finish in the points on a regular basis at the launch of their new car for the 2012 F1 season.
The Hinwil-based team made a strong start to the 2011 season before failing to keep up with the rest of the field after they had all made successful alterations to their cars during the campaign.
In the end Sauber finished seventh in the Constructors' Championship, with drivers Kamu Kobayashi and Sergio Perez 12th and 16th respectively in the drivers' standings.
Sauber have now unveiled their new C31 car for the 2012 season in the hope of bettering their performance and being 'best of the race' behind Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and Red Bull.
The team describe their challenger as having an evolutionary new design and a number of promising new developments.
Sauber hopes a new car, combined with the same drivers in Kobayashi and Perez, will mean they enjoy a good 2012 season.

"We're aiming to start the new season as strongly as we did in 2011, but then also to maintain this level of performance throughout the year," he said.
"Our goal is to finish regularly in the points so as to put ourselves in a significantly better position in the World Championship."
While Sauber are optimistic over their new ride, Red Bull have posted pictures of their new card - the RB8 - ahead of its launch.
Red Bull are 2.75 to win the Constructors Championship again this season, with McLaren 1.83 and Ferrari 26.00.
Defending champion Sebastian Vettel is 3.75 to make it three world titles in a row, while Lewis Hamilton is 3.75 and Jenson Button 8.00 in their search for a second championship.
