Yossi Benayoun scored a fine goal against the Greek outfit but it wasn't enough to prevent defeat.Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits Olympiakos deserved their victory over the Gunners in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Wenger's side had already safely secured their passage through to the knock-out stages as Group F winners ahead of the trip to Greece and the Arsenal boss made a number of changes to his line-up.
The likes of Robin van Persie, Aaron Ramsey and Wojciech Szczesny were all omitted from the match day squad as Emmanuel Frimpong, Marouane Chamakh, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and others were handed a chance.
However, Olympiakos managed to boss the tie and to add to Wenger's frustration both Lukasz Fabianski and Andre Santos had to be removed through injury.
Wenger admits Olympiakos were worthy winners and has no complaints over the 3-1 defeat.
"We must give credit to Olympiakos tonight because they played a very physical game and in the first half it was very difficult for us," Wenger said after the game.
"And I don’t think we had the right tactical approach.
"In the second half at 2-1 we looked like we might come back, but they were dangerous and probably deserved it.
"Many of the players did not have experience in the Champions League so were a bit surprised by pace of game."
Arsenal are 1213.00 to secure Champions League glory, while Olympiakos will now enter the Europa League draw as a dramatic last gasp winner for Marseille at Borussia Dortmund denied them qualification from Group F.
