Fletcher rues poor home form

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher accepts that poor home form has left his side on the verge of exiting the Champions League at the group stage.
The Red Devils have dropped points in Old Trafford draws with both Benfica and FC Basel and now need to avoid defeat in Switzerland to book their place in the last 16.

We can only deal with what's in front of us in the position we're in and challenge that obstacle.

The loss of four valuable points clearly rankles with United, with Fletcher admitting: "If you don't win your home games in the Champions League then it is not going to be as easy as you'd like.
"We look to those two home draws with Basel and Benfica as the reason why we're not where we'd like to be, but we can't do anything about that now.
"We can only deal with what's in front of us in the position we're in and challenge that obstacle."
United have a number of injury absentees for the crucial clash at St Jakob Park, with strike duo Dimitar Berbatov and Javier Hernandez (both ankle) ruled out and Michael Carrick missing through suspension.
Michael Owen, Tom Cleverley, Rafael and Fabio also miss the trip to Switzerland, with Sir Alex Ferguson likely to pair Wayne Rooney with the fit-again Danny Welbeck in attack.
Rooney is 4/5 to fail to find the net against Basel, while he is 5.00 to open the scoring and United are 7.00 to win the game 1-0 to progress to the knockout stages.
