Rangers are interested in signing Francisco Sandaza on a pre-contract agreement, according to St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas.
The 27-year-old Spaniard's deal at McDiarmid Park expires in the summer and he is free to talk to other clubs.

Rangers want him to sign a pre-contract. If Rangers want him, come and speak to me and make an offer.

"Rangers want him to sign a pre-contract," said Lomas after the Perth-based side's Scottish Cup win against Brechin City. "If Rangers want him, come and speak to me and make an offer."
Former Dundee United and Brighton striker Sandaza has scored 13 goals so far this season, but has not as yet penned a new deal with St Johnstone.
Meanwhile, Lomas is expected to extend Cillian Sheridan's stay with the club until the end of the campaign. The 22-year-old Irishman has been on loan at St Johnstone from CSKA Sofia, but that agreement is about to end.
Sheridan has scored four goals in 15 appearances for St Johnstone but has been sidelined since November after picking up a hamstring injury.
Rangers are 11.00 to win the SPL title this season while Celtic can be backed at 1.04.
