Rangers boss Ally McCoist has told his side to forget about the absence of long-term injury victim Steven Naismith and focus on retaining their SPL title.
Striker Steven Naismith will not feature again this season for Rangers. The Gers were beaten 1-0 at Kilmarnock at the weekend and they are now just four points ahead of Celtic in the race for the Scottish league crown.
Naismith has been sidelined for the past month with a serious knee injury and, with the Scotland striker not expected to return until next season, McCoist has urged his players to move on.
He said after the Sunday reverse at Rugby Park: "Any team in the country would miss Naismith and we are no different.
"But there is no use sitting here saying we are missing Naismith without doing something about it. We have to do something about it.
"We have to win games in other ways. Naismith isn't coming back so we just need to get on with it."
The Gers are 11.00 win a fourth straight SPL crown this season, with Celtic 1.04 to take the honours.
Bhoys boss Neil Lennon was in buoyant mood after his side swept aside St Mirren 5-0 on Saturday, saying: "We have picked up five wins in a row now and we are in good form.
"The players are in the habit of winning games and that will give the whole squad a shot in the arm."
