Jelavic backed to stay at Ibrox

Lee McCulloch has told Rangers fans not to worry as he thinks Croatian striker Nikica Jelavic has no intention of leaving Rangers.

Jelavic scored both goals in the Gers' 2-0 victory against Hibernian on Saturday, a result that keeps Ally McCoist's side in the driving seat in their quest to win another SPL title, something they are 11.00 to do. Meanwhile, Celtic can be backed at 1.04.

The 26-year-old Jelavic has already scored 14 goals this season and has been linked with a move away from Ibrox in January.

However, McCulloch said: "He is a quality player and we all just hope he doesn't leave. But he loves it here and I think he wants to stay. Once again the big man has scored goals to win the game.

"He was up there on his own and I feel sorry for him when that's the case. It can't be easy against two central defenders. But I was delighted for him to be rewarded with more goals."
