Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar is interested in returning to last season's SPL champions Rangers.
The 29-year-old Spaniard is expected to leave Villa Park this summer after making only 12 Premier League appearances in the campaign just ended.

It's exciting because Rangers, for me, has so many good memories. Then there is the Champions League and the chance to win trophies again.

Cuellar, who moved to Villa for £7.8million from Rangers three years ago, may be sacrificed by Villa as they attempt to cut their wage bill.
The defender has also been linked with Villarreal and Espanyol but would appear to prefer a return to Ibrox.
He said: "Obviously I have to find out what Villa want me to do but I'm very surprised to hear that Rangers want me back.

Cuellar scored four league goals in 36 appearances for the Gers having previously been with Osasuna. In his three seasons with Villa he has found the net twice in 76 Premier League appearances.
Villa can be backed at 601.00 to finish in the Premier League's top four in the 2011-12 campaign and are available at 67.00 to be relegated. Meanwhile, Rangers are 11.00 to retain their SPL title while Celtic are 1.04 to finish top.
