Celtic have agreed a deal to bring Sweden international defender Mikael Lustig to the club in the January transfer window.
Sweden defender Mikael Lustig will join Celtic at the turn of the year. The 24-year-old right-back, who has won just over 20 caps for his country, will join the Bhoys on a three-and-a-half year contract from Norwegian club Rosenborg.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon is delighted to have tied up the deal for Lustig, who had previously been linked with clubs in England and Spain.
He told his club's official website: "We are delighted to bring Mikael to Celtic. We believe he has the qualities to make a real impact at the club and we look forward to him joining us in January.
"He is a player with international pedigree and a defender with great versatility. He is someone who I feel will be a very positive addition to the squad.
"I like his attributes and he can play both positions (right-back and centre-half), but he's predominantly a right-back."
Lennon recently brought in defender Andre Blackman, who impressed while on trial with the SPL giants.

We believe he has the qualities to make a real impact at the club.

The 21-year-old former Arsenal trainee was described by Lennon as 'a hungry boy who wants to make a name for himself'.
Lennon's men have struggled for consistency this season and are already ten points adrift of champions Rangers, with the Bhoys having one game in hand.
Rangers are 11.00 to retain their SPL title this season, with Celtic 1.04.
