Brown pens Celtic extension

Celtic skipper Scott Brown has ended speculation over his future by signing a new contract which keeps him at the SPL giants until the summer of 2015.
Captain Scott Brown has pledged his long-term future to Celtic.The 26-year-old Scotland midfielder had been linked with a move away from Parkhead on several occasions, but Brown has opted to extend his time with the Bhoys by a further three years.
Brown joined Celtic in the summer of 2007 from Hibernian and boss Neil Lennon is delighted to have kept hold of one his most valuable players.
He told the club's official website: "Scott is a crucial member of our squad and someone we felt it was very important to keep at the club.
"He is a special player and his commitment, drive and all-round ability is something we feel is very important to us.
"I'm pleased we've been able to finalise this and I would like to thank Scott's representatives for their assistance in bringing these negotiations to a successful conclusion."

Celtic are four points behind Rangers in the SPL table going into the weekend action, with the Bhoys 1.04 to be crowned Scottish champions this season.
Lennon's men are in action on Sunday when they travel to Dundee United, with Celtic 1.57 to win at Tannadice and 7.00 to triumph by a 1-0 scoreline.
