Roberto Mancini is close to having several big names back.Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is facing a race against time to be fit for the Premier League leader's trip to Aston Villa next Sunday.
The Belgian defender missed Saturday's 3-0 victory over Fulham which kept Roberto Mancini's team at the top of the standings.
City are now 1.10 to win the Premier League while Manchester United can be backed at 7.50 to retain their title.
Kompany took a blow to his knee in the previous outing at Everton, in what was his first game back following a four-game suspension.

We will have Yaya and Kolo Toure coming back after the Aston Villa game.

It's now understood City don't want to risk doing any lasting damage to their man, and scans have since revealed he has slightly twisted the joint and needs to rest.
Kompany has taken to his Twitter account to admit: "Race against time on my hands, will keep you guys posted."

City certainly struggled without their talisman during his ban, but there are also some brighter skies on the horizon, according to Mancini.
The Italian insists: "We will have Yaya and Kolo Toure coming back after the Aston Villa game. We will also have Mario Balotelli back after his red cards, to have these players back, will be important in the last two months.
"We have players who can create good situations like Samir Nasri and Adam Johnson. Yaya is a good player for us, but we can win games in other ways. We beat Tottenham, we beat Fulham and we had a good performance against Liverpool."
