Charlton have completed the loan signing of Liverpool forward Nathan Eccleston until the end of the season.
Eccleston, who made his first senior start for the Reds in the Europa League against Utrecht after six substitute appearances this campaign, trained with the League One side yesterday ahead of the paperwork being completed this afternoon.
Eccleston's loan spell will run until 31st May and there is no recall clause in place.
After completing the formalities of the deal, the 20-year-old wrote on Twitter: "Happy and looking forward to the challenge at Charlton. With hard work the team is capable of achieving success."
Eccleston revealed Liverpool team-mate Jonjo Shelvey, who made a permanent move in the opposite direction in the summer, helped him make the switch.
"There were a number of teams interested in me but Jonjo persuaded me to come and sign for Charlton," he told the London club's website.
"He said Charlton were a good football club and that I would play down here and get in the team and do well."
Eccleston also thanked former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson for giving him valuable first-team experience.
"I wasn't sure if I was going to stay with the first team after pre-season or go back with the reserves," he added.
"Roy came in and liked what he saw and wanted to work with me and for me to be part of the squad and I feel like I have benefited from being with them.
"Although we are not doing well this season it is still a hard team to break into."
Charlton next face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday. They are 4.00 to get the win in the Full Time Result market, with the home side available at 1.90 and the draw 3.40.
