Blackburn Rovers midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen is determined to put the club's Premier League problems to one side when they play Cardiff City in the Carling Cup.
Malky Mackay's promotion-chasing Bluebirds face the Premier League's bottom club on Tuesday in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Rovers' problems were not helped by their 3-1 defeat at Stoke City on Saturday while Cardiff warmed up for the quarter-final clash by beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 and are now third in the Championship table.
Steve Kean's side are 3.50 to beat Cardiff but are now 17.00 to finish at the foot of the Premier League table. The Bluebirds are 2.00 to reach the semi-finals of the Carling Cup and 1213.00 to secure promotion from the Championship.

An upbeat Pedersen said: "Everyone knows our position in the Premier League and we know what we have to do (to get out of trouble). But that doesn't mean we do not want to do well in the cup.
"I don't see any reason why we cannot aim to do well in both competitions and the Carling Cup is something we are aiming for and taking very seriously. We know we are in for a tough game at Cardiff but we also know that winning puts us a step closer to the final which would give us great confidence."
