"Fortunately for us we have 19 points, so that's and outstanding effort by the team and it gives us a good situation.
"My team selection will be very much what I think is needed for the game."
Meanwhile, under-fire Rovers manager Steve Kean will be looking for his side to provide a much-needed boost to the ailing Ewood Park club, who currently prop up the league table.
Norwegian midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen believes cup success could Rovers in the league, telling the Evening Telegraph: "It will be a tough game on Wednesday, they haven't lost yet.
"If we win we are one step closer to Wembley and we are playing a Premier League team as well, so it can give us confidence for the league."
