Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini praised Adam Johnson after his display in the League Cup win over Wolves, but believes he can still improve.
Adam Johnson has been told to work harder.City came back from a goal down at Molineux to win 5-2 and book their place in the quarter-finals thanks to a display of lethal finishing. Mancini's side are now 51.00 to win the Carling Cup while Chelsea are 1213.00 and Liverpool are 1.11.
Johnson, who was omitted from the weekend win over Manchester United, equalised for City and created their second for Samir Nasri, but Mancini wants more from the 24-year-old.
"He played well, but I think Adam can do more," the Italian told Sky Sports.
"He has everything to be one of the best wingers. I liked his performance this evening but I think he can do better.

"One player should never think that if I do this it is enough. Adam has everything, he is one of the best wingers in England and in Europe and I think he can improve."
Edin Dzeko grabbed a brace and Wolves keeper Dorus De Vries scored an own goal to complete the rout, as City staked their claim for more silverware this season, despite Mancini naming a completely different starting line-up from the weekend. However, the City boss insisted he places equal importance on every game.
"They are all as important and all players understand this," he added.
"We are a young team and they need to have the same attitude for all the games."
