Barcelona can still topple Real Madrid, according to Jose Mourinho.Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho insists reigning champions Barcelona remain in the hunt for the La Liga title.
Los Blancos extended their lead at the top of the Spanish top-flight to seven points with a 3-1 win over Real Zaragoza at the weekend, while Barca were held to a goalless draw at strugglers Villarreal.
Some sections of the Spanish media have suggested the race is all but over, but Mourinho will not rule out the Catalan giants just yet.
"Is seven points a lot? The press might think so, but I disagree," Mourinho told Lusa.
"The people who write that we are the new champions and that Barcelona can't bounce back are the same people who previously tried to create divisions and conflicts at Madrid.
"They will claim that we are in crisis again as soon as we spill points again. They're the ones trying to undermine the balance at Madrid. I am calm though and ready to deal with anything good or bad."
Real Madrid are priced at 1.005 to secure the Spanish title, while Barcelona are 34.00 to defend their La Liga crown.
