Eric Abidal would prefer to sign a new deal with Barcelona.Abidal is recognised as one of the very best defenders in the world and made an extraordinary return to the game after beating cancer.

The 32-year-old wants an answer over his push for a new two-year contract and, although he would prefer to remain at the Camp Nou, is ready to talk with City, as his first option, as well as Paris St Germain and AC Milan.
All have tabled offers and Abidal declared: "I have great respect for Barca, but if we cannot agree, the door is always open. I think my legs can still take two seasons at a good level."
That's as big a hint as it gets in this game although boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly ready to move heaven and earth to keep a player he considers key to his defensive formation.
The latest odds show Barcelona are 34.00 to win the La Liga title again while they are 1213.00 to secure the Champions League for a third time in four years. Manchester City are 1.10 to win the Premier League title and 1213.00 to emerge victorious in Europe's premier competition.
