Derby have allowed Kevin Kilbane to return to Hull ahead of Monday's Championship clash between the two sides.
Nigel Clough's side have enjoyed their festive season so far.Kilbane has spent the first half of the season on loan at Pride Park but has struggled with a back injury in recent weeks, with his last appearance coming in November's 3-0 defeat to Cardiff.
"Kevin returns to Hull with our thanks for his contribution in the first half of the season," manager Nigel Clough told the club's official website.
The 34-year-old Kilbane made 10 appearances for Derby. He is unlikely to feature for Nick Barmby's side as Derby look to close the gap on Hull, who currently sit in sixth place in the Championship table. Clough's side are five places and five points behind Monday's opponents, and will be looking to build on their New Year's Eve win over high-flying West Ham.

Clough is hopeful Nathan Tyson will be fit to face Hull despite being substituted against the Hammers in the hope of preventing a recurrence of his groin injury. The Rams are 26.00 to win 2-0, with Tyson at 4.00 to score at any time. A 1-1 draw can be backed at 6.50.
"Nathan came off as a precaution as we didn't want to risk anything happening to him," said the Derby boss. "We haven't ruled him out of the squad for Hull on Monday so we will see how he is."
