Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has admitted that goalkeeper Manuel Neuer's summer move from Schalke is far from settled.
Manuel Neuer is expected to join Bayern Munich this summer. The 25-year-old Germany international is widely expected to join Bayern in the summer, despite talk of interest from the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.
However, Rummenigge has warned that his club and Schalke are some way away from reaching an agreement over Neuer.
He told ZDF: "Let's talk about the facts. Fact one is Manuel Neuer will not be staying with Schalke beyond 2012. Fact two is that Manuel Neuer will not be moving abroad."
Rummenigge later added on Sky: "We are in talks with Schalke, but I am not as optimistic as certain members of the media.
"We will see if we can find a solution. If there is one then okay, but if not then both clubs will have to live with it."

We will only sell Manuel when our expectations have been fulfilled.
Ralf Rangnick
Schalke head coach Ralf Rangnick has also warned that his club will not part with Neuer on the cheap, telling Welt am Sonntag: "We will only sell Manuel when our expectations have been fulfilled.
"Munich have been saying that they will not pay an astronomical fee and that Schalke have got to budge. Why should a club budge when they have a player who they want to keep hold of?"
Neuer is the current German number one, with his national team 4.00 to win Euro 2012 and 10.00 to triumph at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
