Warwickshire have continued their preparations for the 2012 season by completing the signing of the New Zealand off-spinner Jeetan Patel.
Patel, who has taken 40 wickets in 13 Tests for New Zealand, will be the Bears' overseas player for the whole of next season.
He impressed for Warwickshire in last season's Friends Life t20 campaign, taking 17 wickets in three LV County Championship appearances for the county, following Ant Botha's injury and the late arrival of Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

Warwickshire is a great club and I've enjoyed my cricket tremendously in the two spells that I've had at Edgbaston.

Patel said of his decision to return to Edgbaston: "Warwickshire is a great club and I've enjoyed my cricket tremendously in the two spells that I've had at Edgbaston.
"The new pavilion has created a fantastic stadium to be based at, and we've got a very good squad, which is capable of challenging for honours in all competitions.
"Finishing as runner-up in last year's County Championship was a great achievement by this team, and I'm looking forward to joining the guys again next season and doing all that I can to make it another good season for the club."
Warwickshire are 2.62 to win the 2012 County Championship Division One title while Somerset can be backed at 7.50, Nottinghamshire at 4.00 and Surrey at 11.00.
