Gillespie handed Yorkshire role

Yorkshire have announced major changes as they seek to secure an immediate return to the first division of the County Championship.
Andrew Gale hopes to lead Yorkshire to promotion next summer.Former Australia fast bowler Jason Gillespie has been hired as the county's new first-team coach, where he will work alongside current director of professional cricket, Martyn Moxon.
Gillespie, who enjoyed two summers as a player at Headingley, told the club's official website: "I saw the job advertised and thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to further my coaching career at Yorkshire, where I had a couple of great seasons as a player.
"To be able to go back there in a coaching capacity is a fantastic opportunity."
Meanwhile, on the field, captain Andrew Gale and opening batsman Joe Root have penned contract extensions to keep them at the club until the end of the summer of 2014.
Yorkshire have also re-signed Australian batsman Phil Jaques as their overseas player for the 2012, as Gale aims to mastermind a quickfire return to county cricket's elite.

Yorkshire are 3.00 to win County Championship Division Two in 2012, with Essex 8.00 and Northamptonshire 17.00.
