Lamont Peterson says he will be the 'toughest fighter' Amir Khan has taken on in his career so far when the two clash on 10th December.
Amir Khan is travelling to Lamont Peterson's home town.Khan is defending his WBA (super) and IBF light-welterweight titles against Peterson, who lost on points to Timothy Bradley in a world title fight in 2009. The 27-year-old American believes he can pull off a major shock and destroy Khan's plans to move up a division.
Peterson is 51.00 to win in the 12th round and 23.00 to win by a decision or technical decision. Khan is 1.61 to win by a knockout, technical knockout or disqualification.
"I would say I'm the toughest fighter Khan has faced so far," said Peterson.
"In a lot of his fights, he's fought older or much shorter fighters and he had a lot of physical advantages over them. He's not going to have any of those advantages over me.

I would say I'm the toughest fighter Khan has faced so far.

"I'm much more comfortable at this level. I feel at ease and I know that December 10th I'm going to go out there and it's going to be another day of boxing. It's something I've been doing for 17 years."
The fight will take place in Peterson's home town of Washington and he is looking forward to entertaining his fans.
He added: "I wanted to fight here. I know that when I walk into the ring and see those familiar faces, it will help me in the ring. I shouldn't have any distractions or any added pressure. I think I'll deal with it pretty well."
