Carl Froch's trainer Rob McCracken is expecting 'a fantastic fight between two tremendous boxers' when the super middleweight puts his WBC belt on the line in a unification showdown against WBA champion Andre Ward.
Carl Froch is preparing to face Andre Ward next monthMcCraken has had longer than initially anticipated to prepare the 34-year-old Nottingham fighter for his big night against the unbeaten American, Ward, in Atlantic City, New Jersey on 17th December.
That is because Ward had to pull out of the planned 29th October showdown due to a hand injury, but McCracken is looking forward to the head-to-head with Froch 3.00 to come out on top and 5.50 to win by a knockout or TKO.
The former middleweight from Birmingham is expecting a tricky night for Froch against the one-time Olympic gold medal winner.
"Ward is unorthodox, he's very fast, he's very talented," said McCracken.
"He won an Olympic gold medal as an amateur and is the other best super-middleweight in the world alongside Carl.
"Carl and him have pretty much proved themselves as the two best - Carl definitely has and we feel he's done more in the division than Andre has.
"So we're expecting a fantastic fight between two tremendous boxers."
